Re: Good Catch-All HMC version

The p7 came with al740_110, lastest is al740_126 and fortunately the whole
ECA331 stuff was for systems with fw prior to 110 so i'm safe. I just
needed to start it to check activated procs and see if the hardware was OK.
Ended up installing v7.7.8M1 w/hotfix. I figure if i need an older version
to update any old p5 or p6's firmware i can use the other HMC at v7.3.5
(gotta reinstall it at that level).
As soon as the new switches arrive and i can have all machines in the lab
on the same vlan for management i'll test it, but according to the fw
wizard v7.7.8 supports p5 and up (with the lastest fw at least).

sure the FSP firmware is the latest available for the P5 and P6 and you
should be fine.

Check the level of firmware on your P7 too, it might be somewhat back
dated as well.
