EXPORTFS OPTIONS('-U -A')
ENDNFSSVR SERVER(*ALL)
The first unmounts (-U) all (-A) exports. I tested running this by
system gdisys2
strnfssvr
EXPORTFS OPTIONS('-I -O') DIR('/tmp')
system gdisys
md '/gdisys2'
md '/gdisys2/tmp'
MOUNT TYPE(*NFS) MFS('gdisys2:/tmp') MNTOVRDIR('/gdisys2/tmp')
OPTIONS('rw,suid,retry=5,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,timeo=20,retrans=5,
acregmin=30,acregmax=60,acdirmin=30,acdirmax=60,soft,async,
sec=sys,vers=3:2,nocache')
edtf '/gdisys2/tmp/test.txt'
and right while I was in the middle of editing that file, over on GDISYS2
I ran
EXPORTFS OPTIONS('-U -A')
endNFSSVR SERVER(*ALL)
and it ended correctly.
I haven't found if there's a showmount type of command.

Jim,
I had just found the Ops Nav place to not start the server. I still need
to
find a system file or api to determine if existing mappings exist.
The NFS Properties screen
Remote procedure call started 1
Generic security service started 1
Registry started 1
Block I/O started 1
Server started 2
Mount started 1
Network Status Monitor started 1
Network lock manager started 1

You use STRNFSSVR and ENDNFSSVR for the NFS. I always put the start NFSin

If you're not using NFS I would not start it in the first place. Use
Navigator (the old one at V7R1) to go into Network, Servers, and TCP/IP.
You'll find a dialog in there for NFS where you can uncheck the start
TCP box. Now it has to be started manually or in the start up job.Jim

To get a clean backup (SAVACT) we stop all ip traffic (ENDTCPSVR,
ENDHOSTSVR, ENDTCP with appropriate delays).
Last night the ENDTCPSVR hung on the ENDNFSSVR area for over 6 hrs
OPS discovered it.*NO
We opened a ticket w/IBM.
My question is - NFS is not a TCP Application one can flag as Autostart
(or at least, not on CFGTCP menu option 20).or
Is it needed, and can we just turn it off after each startup?
We are not aware of any NFS use, but also have not yet found a display
work of a *ALL to show existing.for
This happened once before, several years ago at V6R1.
Currently at V7R1.
