The question is "why do they want to replace WRKQRY"? If the reason is because they want graphics like pie charts and what not then tools like STRQM are not going to cut it. If the answer is because they want grey screen instead of green screen then an application like STRQM is not going to cut it. If the answer is because the users are confused over what files to join together, how to calculate the quantity currently available, what the blazes does field names like IIMCLB, IIMCLC, IIMCLD mean then what you really need to do is create some decent joins, views and whatnot. Otherwise, graphical tools are just putting lipstick on a pig. IOW, many of the graphical tools require you to spend quite some time setting up "meta data". Which is basically doing the work that you would do with some decent joins, views and whatnot. Rob Berendt
