Unfortunately, in my case, it was the manager above my manager who made the
decision, although, to be fair, he may have been given marching orders from
bean counters two or three levels up. Still, he should have known the
impact and pushed back. Our team was called out several times for
delivering the highest quality of all of the development teams in our
division. It is ironic that the biggest emphasis there was delivering
quality. I've been hearing through the grapevine that quality has suffered
greatly under our replacement team. Oh well, so much for quality, but at
least they're "saving money".
