I agree if we were going to keep it.
It is very under sized and underpowered. We have just out grown it.
There is a push to "why buy old technology" like an as/400.
I have all the info of why to upgrade to a power 8.
I say why should be old technology based on a DOS system?
They seem to think that getting rid of the IBMi and putting everything on a server (which the IBMi is) that everything will work without integration.
Nothing is going to be happening soon. I just need to show what it can do.
Getting to 7.1 will be a start.

If you can afford it, an HMC is a great alternative for your system console. Pretty much required if you're doing multiple lpars of IBM i.
