Hi Frigyes

OK - even if you hare admin on the machine, you still need to run installs "as administrator" - I have admin authority on this Windows 7 box, and when I forget to right-click the executable for the installer and click on "Run as Administrator", things don't work.

This can be tricky - I use Rational Developer for i, and if I want to add something using the new software function in the help menu, I need to start RDi, running as administrator, even though I have full administrator authority. But who would think to do that? The installation is done WITHIN the product, so it is kind of concealed that it is necessary to do this.

Vern

Hi Vernon,

Sorry for not giving sufficient information. I am on Windows 7, I am an admin on this machine. I installed the previous SP for C/A without any issues (actually, to cure this problem I uninstalled C/A on my PC, re-installed it, and installed the previous SP , which is SI56695. It works fine. As I saw int he readme.txt for the current SP, there WERE some changes in 5250 emulation.
