Finally got around to upgrading one of my HMC's to 8.8.4
This is one of those read the fine print kind of upgrades. Bunch of "thou
shalt not use the GUI to upgrade" kind of warnings.

download it. Read the descriptions first. You may end up not downloading
and follow a trick outlined in the document (ftp).
Me, I used ftp for the upgrade as outlined in the document. The two
additional PTFs I downloaded via fix central and put on a local ftp server
and did it that way. Lost my notes when I rebooted my PC.
