The more secure way is to use the retrieve command exit point
(QIBM_QCA_RTV_COMMAND) or the change command exit point
(QIBM_QCA_CHG_COMMAND).
Can either of these exit points be used to change which activation groups are processed by the RCLACTGRP *ELIGIBLE command?
From what I can determine, the RTV exit point can change one instance of the command. But it can't tell the system to run more than 1 command.
The vendor's code still requires the feature of "ELIGIBLE" to close their own activation groups.
That was what my version attempted to do.
I agree that the vendor shouldn't do it. And the vendor agrees as well. I was just told that the fix was "extensive" and won't be available until the next version of their product is released later this year.
