Here's one idea. You already have the logic for that (nice code, by the
bye!). All you need to add is an innocuous replacement command to be
executed when the exit point program returns. I wrote a NOOP which does
exactly nothing and serves as a perfect replacement when the exit point
has already done all of the command's work.
