Sending an e-mail is indeed very easy. Just be aware that, depending
on what you're using to send your e-mail to Dropbox, you might not be
able to send your file to an arbitrary folder.

For example, Kevin mentioned "Send to Dropbox" which I think means

Looks very nice, looks very easy to use. But you apparently can't dump
your file into a shareable area. See "Can I share my Attachments
folder?" in the FAQ:

A lot of folks are apparently using IFTTT ("If This Then That") to
hook up e-mail to Dropbox. Seems like it may be more flexible, but I
haven't used it myself.
