I too would leave QDLS as there are some system things.
We still have some carry over to delete but Jim was way overstating how
long it takes to save it.
It only takes 6 seconds to go from end of library save, through the QDLS
save and start the IFS save on our system. BRMS does a pretty good job of
logging stuff.
