I agree Joe. Sure, one can probably get Google Calendar to do this, but I
suspect it would take a lot of additional programming. When you already
have the free job scheduler (WRKJOBSCDE) why use Google calendar for basic
scheduling?
If one just has to have a GUI interface then the AJS has that, plus all
the other features (like job dependencies).
Plus it's just one more step in the pipe that can go wrong. Google or IBM
could change an API and your hosed until you get that fixed. This has
happened! Even though Google gave a 10 year notice of deprecation of a
particular API IBM Domino failed to take notice until the API was shut off
and temporarily lost the ability to get feeds from Google Calendar into
IBM Domino calendars. IBM had to come out with a fix.
