I've chased this down more than once, and more often than not it has been
the pc or network hardware..

I agree that most of the time it really is network issues, but this
weird scattering of disconnects is a new thing, and the thing that
changed is I put on the latest cume.

That doesn't rule out a coincidental networking issue, but whatever the
network issue is, it's not limited to one particular piece of gear. The
frustrating part is that it's sporadic, and scattered temporally and
geographically.
