Ahh. I've downloaded Blade Center Management Module firmware through Fix
Central before. I've also downloaded Blade FSP firmware files through Fix
Central as well. I don't think I've ever needed to use Download Director,
but maybe that's because I'm an IBMer?

I wonder what the Fix Central team's plan is for when Java in browsers
goes the way of the dodo? Chrome since version 45 (and earlier on Linux)
no longer support NPAPI plugins (like Java). Firefox has signalled it will
be removing support by the end of this year. Microsoft's new Windows 10
browser, Edge, has never supported NPAPI plugins. Of course, if they're
using a Java Web Start application instead of an applet, it's still
supported just fine.

I don't use the FTP option because IBM does not offer an FTP for many
things
including FSP/Microcode/Licensed Programs.

I would far far prefer FTP but the folks at IBM just don't seem to
listen to
our repeated, clear, unambiguous, strongly worded, (add any further
qualification you can think of) requests to offer FTP as an option for
many
of the places that don't currently offer it.

They have a notice up that things are not good, points for that. I
can't
even download an FSP firmware update with Download (!$#!$%!$!)
Director
as
of a couple of minutes ago.

That sucks, but why are you using Download Director? I would suggest
choosing FTP downloads and using a plugin like Firefox's DownThemAll:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/downthemall/

Much better download manager than Download Director.
