Darryl,

If you're on V5R4 you'd probably be better of using CPYTPIMPF and copy the
file to the IFS (but QDLS of course, which SNDDST works with). Then send
it that way.

We also have our MAILTOOL software that will work on V5R4 and allow
attachments from the IFS, not just QDLS. But, it really depends on what
format the recipient of the email wants when they get the email.

Is SNDSMTPEMM a IBM command or API

An IBM command first released via some PTFs on IBM i 7.1 [aka v7r1] but
integrated into the base release IBM i 7.2 [aka v7r2]; the v7r1 copy, if
installed, likely has no help text, so refer to the following docs if on
that earlier release:

"_Send SMTP E-mail Message_ (SNDSMTPEMM)

Threadsafe: No

The Send SMTP E-mail Message (SNDSMTPEMM) command allows you to create
and
send a Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) e-mail message
through
the IBM i SMTP Server. The sending address cannot be specified as an
anti-spam precaution. The sending address will be looked up in the
appropriate directory currently in use based on the current user
profile. …"
