Arguably even better than that is Google. It's what I recommend.

One particular command of interest I see the drop down only goes back to
7.2 so I assume that the command was not available prior to that. The
answer might be "upgrade to 7.2 or higher" then.

Don't assume. Come on, it's an IBM website. You should know better.

Instead of heading directly to the command of interest, you could also
click on the command instructions link in the IBM Technotes section on
the right. You'd get a much different picture of availability. (You
would also get to the page which was the top hit in my
naive-but-effective Google search.)
