This time it just might be reasonable. Data center move. I tried to
argue that the whole darn subnet could move and they could just change a
few routers. It was this versus a Power 8 server with multiple partitions
and a large PC server serving up numerous virtual instances. (and more).
But I've learned that if I don't win on the first round to let it die
because the network guy will hound the boss until he acquiesces. When the
boss snaps (and I really like the guy) I don't want it to be on me.
Other times I couldn't figure out why he was doing this. Perhaps a
company wide router upgrade or some such thing. I have no idea.
