I question this whole new interface also.

As far as catering to the AIX only crowd I don't buy that. Those people
won't use a GUI anyway and only use command line. :-) At least that's
what IBM told me when I asked for thread and semaphore management to be
part of IBM Navigator for i.

If we keep working around it without officially opening a pmr with IBM
then we'll get nowhere.

BTW I have zero interest in Lan Console but you pretty much use the same
setup to do the service lan for NFS upgrades and PTF's and there is some
use in the new GUI for that.
