Thanks for the reference, Mark. I downloaded and skimmed over the RPG
source for *srvpgm CBX109S, which exports the GetFldVal() procedure.
Carsten's interface relies on "request type" and *nopass parameters in
order to manage "session" options for improved performance. I don't think
"callers" should be required to do that. The called procedure should do
that automatically, IMHO. But it's interesting to see another developer's
implementation details.
