Even if you can get it running it is not supported. IBM has deprecated
that in favor of IBM i Access Client Solutions. I do not believe that has
any remote command daemon. These kind of daemons tend to really freak out
security people.

Alternatives include:
- Starting a remote process with FTP, which may require loading ftp server
on that PC. But again, FTP sends the password in the clear so there is
that issue...
- Installing some sort of database on that PC such as SQL Server so that
you could call a procedure like CONNECT TO MYPC; CALL ... from within
imbedded SQL or some such thing.
- Find an alternative remote command daemon.
- Shovel out some money for MQ or some technique which will activate upon
receipt of something.
