My customers pay me and I pay my college kid son to check them everyday. I
never thought to apply Ptf's on the mimix box. Dumb.

There is plenty of dasd. This machine I’m working on is a Mimix target.
I
don’t think it has any ptfs applied since it was created.

I’m going to apply the cume this weekend

I'm following the PC program and trying to apply MF99011

I'm getting CPF362C Insufficient storage for Licensed Internal Code

It tells me to apply PTF's permanently and IPL which I've done. Once
I
get
the image catalogs uploaded I'll try to build that list and allocate
LIC
storage. If that doesn't work I'll probably call IBM on Monday.

I tried that API and it gave me the same message. I'm going to
get
my
image catalogs moved to this machine and then I'll do the prepare
option 1
to see if I can set it to V7R3.

Thanks

No where are you told to take that option. What you are told
instead
is
to run this:

Now, IDK why they don't say take that option. It is what we
used
to
use.
Let's assume they are using some option on that API that the
menu
doesn't
support. Let's also assume that the people who work on the
menu
and
the
people who write these instructions will not talk to each other
and
fix
the menu. Or maybe the menu is updated, but only if you have
PTF
such
and
such and IBM just simply got tired of reminding people to have
that
PTF
on. But basically, try the API directly, as instructed, and
see
if
your
results differ.
After all it must be drastic enough that they put all these
instructions
into Knowledge Center instead of just fixing the menu.
Remember,
they
have to translate Knowledge Center into a bazillion different
languages.
The menu was translated a coon's age ago.

I tried ordering MF59277 but it's superseded by MF99010.

If I go LICPGM, prepare for install, then Allocate addtl space,
I
type
in
V7R3m0 and I get CPF3DFA.

That link is dead, but I'm searching the V7R3 manuals, haven't
found
what
I'm missing yet. Any Ideas? Thanks
