There are two ways to stop a spooled file from automatically
printing. Change or override the printer file in one of the following
ways:

CHGPRTF HOLD(*YES)
OVRPRTF HOLD(*YES)


By the way, there is one other thing you should check. That is
the SPOOL attribute for the printer file. It should be set to *YES.
