And hopefully you added that it's downright easy to code C# Desktop or Web Apps and Services to hook up to the IBMi.
If you're recruiting, don't just try to sell them on how nice it is to code in RPG.
Give them options to expand their C# skills as well since they are already I that head space in most cases. Or PHP, Node, whatever as long as it's modern.

Very true, but looking at any legacy bolt on that can run with some retrofit. We still need to look forward and move that direction. Just recently I challenged my developer to write a file less program in free. He loved the challenge and I took the code to a class I was teaching not telling them what system it was on and the all said they could read it and it looks like C#. I am looking at future recruiting as well.
