Used to type 4-0-1-1, the code for "banana." Now the veggies and fruits all have unique codes-- Kroger won't accept 4011 anymore. You have to scan the sub-barcode that tells them you're buying >Chiquita< bananas.
Now I have a Chiquita sticker on the back of one of my Frequent Buyer cards.
