System is at V7R3 and fairly current on PTF's but I don't think that is the
issue.

I have also experienced this previously on a different system at V7R1

Situation is that remote access was provided by Cisco AnyConnect.

The router that was providing the VPN connection died and the VPN software
was replaced with ShrewSoft VPN

Installed ShrewSoft on the remote laptop and successfully connected to the
VPN

Unable to establish a connection to the IBMi. Also ping would fail.

But able to ping other devices on the same subnet as the IBMi.

Cutting a long story short I added a new interface. The original interface
was 192.168.100.27 and I added 192.168.100.29 and started the interface.

Now I can ping the new interface but still cannot ping the original.

There has to be some cache or something that is causing this but I do not
know where to look. IPL is not an option at this time of year.

The new VPN is assigning addresses from a different subnet but that should
not make any difference as I am able to connect to the new interface just
not the original.

This is driving me nuts :-(

Anyone experienced something like this before and have a solution ?
