It's an 8262-41A on 7.3.  I don't use the HMC much at all because I'm not the hardware guy.  My hardware expertise, such as it is, pretty much stalled out with the model 270.  However, I've been sort of side-tracked into it while reviewing performance issues and I do, I tend to dig a little when I see something that doesn't make sense.  In this case, I was just trying to see how much SSD we had and that ran me down this particular rabbit hole.

I was kind of wondering too why he wasn't looking at the partition
profiles on the HMC either.

What model of system is it?
What version of OS?
Since you have multiple partitions of IBM i are you using an HMC? I'm
thinking that's the only option but I may be wrong.

Does DSPFMWSTS show
Firmware update policy . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : *HMC

STRSST
8. Work with service tools user IDs and Devices
3. Select console
Is "Console type" = 4. Hardware management console(HMC)

Why options 1 and 2 are still there, at 7.3, befuddle me. They're not
supported.
