I already knew about that
If I explain what the end result needs to be - you will see that trying to collect the directory sizes in that manner would be a pain you know where

We suddenly had a spike in the size of used disk space
Collecting data on the size of the individual files didn't show that much of an increase, so the next thing to analyze would be the ifs
Hence, my question
I am using the command RTVDIRINFO, and so far it looks to be what I need, but its taking a really long time to complete - almost 24 hours and still running

Not sure if this is a adhoc requirement but if it is you could use EDTF '/'

Then use option 6 to get the path size.

I assumed (we all know what that means) that you had to specify an
individual directory I just tried it with root (/) And I looked up
what RTVDIRINF produces in IBM support

The default for RTVDIRINF is to capture it for all directories.
Then you have to get really creative with sql over the two files it
creates to get the information you want.

Hi everyone
We are at V7r3
I am googling this at the moment
How to obtain the sizes of directories and sub-directories of the ifs,

and

I have seen the commands RTVDIRINF and PRTDIRINF, but you have to

specify

the individual ifs directory
What I am looking for is one program that will collect this
information (preferably to a file) for ALL the ifs directories and
sub-directories Does anyone know if such an animal exists?
