Just a Note, but this suggestion changes the java used from 32bit to 64bit.

It would probably be "better" to try and use the 32bit version of jdk8.
And if it wasn't installed, then that is probably a step to perform while getting to IBM I 7.4 up and running.

I know we had some specific reasons for using the 32 bit java with Goanywhere, over the 64bit version.

So if you use the 64 bit, any issues you see could potentially be a result of that change, rather than the new os.
