A SAVSYS to a virtual tape was only of interest in times when the physical tape was slow.
Save to virtual, start system operations again and then duptop to physical tape.
But in times of VTL this is not needed any longer :)

The only way is to mount them on a different system and duptap to a real tape then use that real tape.

If that was a virtual optical instead you could at least boot it from the network. I personally find no value in doing a SAVSYS to a virtual tape, so little that I wasn't even aware that it is allowed!!
