I once lost a very expensive Unicomp keyboard to carelessness on the part of the janitors. I don't remember exactly, but I vaguely recall that either (a) it was still under warranty, or (b) Unicomp cut me a deal on the replacement.

At any rate, I very calmly explained the mistake to the lead janitor, but assured her she was forgiven.
