I have reviewed those procedures and have my own utilities that I developed
years ago. MyFTP scripts are not the issue. Its the scripts created before
my time that I have to work on.

Have you looked at Scott Kelments FTP Api? It executes the FTP step bystep
and is designed so that you can determine if the step worked correctly. If
you go to www.think400.dk/downloads.htm and look for project FTPOBJbreak
between systems there is an example of using the API.

I need a immediate response to read the log file. On many of the FTP
scripts before my time, the logs were not saved, so I would like to

It seems this is not do-able?

Could you query netstat_info and determine that the ftp port for that

Subject: Is there a user exit or something similar that I can use to
monitor when a FTP command is complete?

We have many FTP processes and we need to know when the FTP command
thenancompleted so that we can read the FTP log and look for failures.
To save modifying hundreds of programs, if there were something like
exit point that can tell me the transmission is complete, I could
mailingcall
a program to read the log and advise if there is a failure.
