Thanks Rob,

Yes the WRKLNK command defaults to *PRV

I do sometimes change the Detail option but don't believe I have ever
changed the Display option

If this happens again I will try that.

Once you run the WRKLNK there is no way of determining what option were
selected - Is there ?

Thanks

Don Brown

EDTF '/tmp/bs.txt'
Type some characters and save it.
WRKLNK OBJ('/tmp/bs*')
I see it.
CHGATR OBJ('/tmp/bs.txt') ATR(*HIDDEN) VALUE(*YES)
WRKLNK OBJ('/tmp/bs*')
I still see it.
HOWEVER, the default on WRKLNK is DSPOPT(*PRV).
Try this:
WRKLNK OBJ('/tmp/bs*') DSPOPT(*USER)
And you will not see it.
Change it to
WRKLNK OBJ('/tmp/bs*') DSPOPT(*ALL)
And you will see it.

Problem solved. (Well, other than figuring out what clown set the hidden
attribute.)
