Sounds logical. But then, I feel, I've already put more time and thinking effort into trying to optimize one single case (wildcards at the beginning) than it will ever save me. ;-)
When I chose a word from the list of possible words, that word will get a counter variable increased automatically. After sufficient time, with successful word searches being done, I expect to get a list of less than 100 words being re-used all the time. Thus I can delete all other words from that table. In the end, I expect it to be so small that even FTS won't matter too much.
