I'm sorry, but I don't get it. May I kindly ask you to rewrite the following statement according to your proposal?

SELECT ucword FROM ucwrdlstpf WHERE ucword LIKE '______C_U%'

(Currently, I'm testing with interactive SQL, not via host language imbedded SQL.)
