VPN connections still have rules that apply. Just because the “same subnet” is in place does not mitigate those rules. In any case, does it hurt to look?

While I would stipulate that most admins do not put additional rules in VPNs such as this, the evolution of securing networks from attack is resulting in far higher scrutiny of any connection, VPN or otherwise. Again, does it hurt to look and understand the environment a bit more clearly?

The limitation I referred to is on any/all file movement, not to only email, which considering the situation would not apply anyway.

Check the firewall. Since you’ve done everything else, it might be there.

OP stated, "same subnet". Firewall possible but unlikely.

We have several customers that have limits in the firewall for file size. The firewall interprets the save file as a PDF document and kills the transfer due to size limits.

I'm wondering if this is a limitation imposed on email only?
