Anyone in the know?

When NTP (Network Time Protocol) client is started it seems to use
the lowest TCP IP interface configured.
There are several TCP interfaces configured and it so happens that the
lowest
IP (10.10.10.1) is used for a direct connection to another IBMi and has no
access to the internet.
The IP to use is 192.168.168.59
What I do then is to end the 10.10.10.1 interface before starting the NTP
client
and start it after NTP has been started.

Is there a way to configure the IP interface for NTP

You can try to set a specific route using 192.168.168.59 IP as the preferred binding interface, for the NTP servers IPs. Example:

ADDTCPRTE
    RTEDEST('5.196.160.139')  SUBNETMASK(*HOST)
    NEXTHOP('yourgatewayIP') BINDIFC('192.168.168.59')

TIA
Gad
