I have used Excel with ODBC Data Source configurations. I don't think this
could be the case, but you should check the Data Tab and follow to see if
there is any data source configured for those queries.

Well, I discovered there isn’t any VBA code. There are several queries.
Below is the authentication settings on the first query (and the other
queries).

The problem is that somewhere there is a password for the user that is
incorrect – could it be cached somewhere? The user’s iSeries password has
changed, but when she puts in her new password, it keeps indicating that
the password is incorrect, then eventually her iSeries account gets
disabled. Any ideas?

This could be embedded in a VBA script within the Excel worksheet. You
would need to access the Developer tab and view the associated source code.
Here is a helpful link that shows how to access it. https: //www.

I have an Excel file that uses queries to pull data from the iSeries. The
user ID seems to be stored somewhere for a particular user, but default.
Where are these credentials stored? Are they hidden in Excel somewhere? I
didn't create the Excel file, it was created years ago by a power user, no
longer with the company.

Anyone want to help?

Greg
