Jim,

Does a twinax console also imply that care must be taken to select the correct "vintage" of HMC that can be used with that machine?

Depending on exactly what hardware model, firmware level, and IBM i version and release, IIRC, newer HMCs might not be able to be used with it or even support something that "old"...?
