Hi,

For SSH using IBM i extension( tried with port number 2222 & 992 both ) on
visual studio code also i tried both ways manually entering and pasting
password from notepad and tried to connect but from there also it did not
connect and got earlier mentioned error ;-"Not connected to pub400.com! All
configured authentication methods failed".

Firewall is already disabled.

Local keyboard setting is also selected as 'English-US'

So All of these DOS command prompt,IBM i ACS & Visual Studio code (using
IBM i extension & SSH ) ,SSH all these are not getting connected to
pub400.com whereas Mochasoft (port number 992) is still getting connected
with the same User ID & Password.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes it's correct. With the same user id and password I am able to login
to
TN5250 version 3.8 to pub400.com.

But i got the following errors while trying to connect same pub400.com
through DOS Command prompt and IBM i ACS solutions. This time I also
tried
by copying and pasting my user id and password from a notepad file but
same
errors :-

**********************
1) DOS command prompt :-

530 Log on attempt by user JKJK1 rejected.
Login failed.
ftp>

2) IBM i Access Client Solutions:-

"CPF1120-CPF1120-User does not exist or password not correct for user
profile."

And did you try the copy/paste password tip I was talking about?

3) I even tried to connect through VS Code but now unable to track that
settings i meant how i tried to connect but had got this error "Also
trying
to connect through VS code then from there as well getting this error
:-"Not connected to pub400.com! All configured authentication methods
failed"."

pub400 ssh server is listening on 2222 port in place of the usual 22
one. Make sure to set it accordingly in the connection sett

Thanks.

So, if I understand Fine:

- you succeed to connect using TN5250
- you fail to connect using Windows FTP client
- you fail to connect using iACS, and error suggests a password issue

You are sure that you are using the same password each time.

Is that correct?

Password is case sensitive on pub400. So I suggest to enter your
password
into a text editor, copy it and paste it into the 3 tools you are
using.

I even tried using 'On-Screen Keyboard' but with the same user id
and
password can connect to TN5250 Mochasoft 3.8 version but the same
gives
error for
IBM i Access client solutions(64 bit) version 1.1.9.2
Are you sure you are really connecting to the same host?
