The problem with that (and probably the reason why I'd never thought of it) is that I'd end up with http_debug files breeding like gerbils, and if I can't copy an http_debug file from the master CL of the automated process, then presumably, I wouldn't be able to delete it either, if the process ran without incident, and there was no need to save forensic info.
The automated process typically fails no more than one cycle out of ten, probably a good deal less frequently than that.
