if you insist :-) on using STRSQL this may help for "path_name"
cast(path_name as varchar(100))

use length that matters...

Indeed. If I set up a new directory, "/foo," with a single stream file in it, "bar," and try

select *  from table (qsys2.ifs_object_statistics(
        start_path_name => '/foo',

   where  Create_Timestamp > current_timestamp - 1 days

from a STRSQL session, on our V7R5 cloud box, I get:

  PATH_NAME                 OBJEC00001
  *POINTER                  *DIR
  *POINTER                  *STMF

If I follow Patrik's idea, and start a QShell session on that same box, CD to /foo, and do

find * -mtime -1

I get the expected result of

bar

But if I do the same thing on the box where I'll be wanting to look for recently created files, I get:

 find * -mtime -1
 /QOpenSys/usr/bin/-sh: /QOpenSys/usr/bin/find: 0403-027 The parameter list is too long.
 $

regardless of whether I do it from QSH, or from CALL QP2TERM.
