Hi,

The S1014 supports internal NVMe storage in 800 GB, 1.6 TB, 3.2 TB or 6.4 TB sizes. There are up to 16 NVMe slots. There are some differences between the 4-core and 8-core processor options. Check out the web site below. Thanks...Dan

Subject: [EXTERNAL] POWER10 S1014 internal disks?

We have a POWER9 S914 with a Storewize V5010. The Storewize is going end of life, so I've got to do something about that. I have multiple BPs telling me the replacement will require two fiber switches to attach the new storage to our S914. The cost looks really steep, and I'm wondering about replacing the S914 and going back to internal storage. It would cost more, but I think it might be better in the long run.

Our initial S914 quote had internal storage. The BP added the Storewize when they tried to sell us on Flash Copy. We passed on Flash Copy, but for some reason the BP kept the external storage.

Can you get a POWER10 S1014 running IBMi with internal disks? I searched, but I can't find the answer.
