You don’t need dual SAN switches if you don’t need the failure
prevention. All that does is remove a single point of failure. The BPs
just want to really increase their margin.
In fact with the right Fibre cards you would not even need to replace the
SAN switch you have. Ask a lot of questions.

Hi,
The S1014 supports internal NVMe storage in 800 GB, 1.6 TB, 3.2 TB or
between the 4-core and 8-core processor options. Check out the web site

Subject: [EXTERNAL] POWER10 S1014 internal disks?
We have a POWER9 S914 with a Storewize V5010. The Storewize is going
telling me the replacement will require two fiber switches to attach the
new storage to our S914. The cost looks really steep, and I'm wondering
about replacing the S914 and going back to internal storage. It would cost
more, but I think it might be better in the long run.
when they tried to sell us on Flash Copy. We passed on Flash Copy, but for
Our initial S914 quote had internal storage. The BP added the Storewize
some reason the BP kept the external storage.
searched, but I can't find the answer.
Can you get a POWER10 S1014 running IBMi with internal disks? I
