You're right *PUBLIC can read the data in the QADB* files but they cannot
'operate' on them. Therefore they cannot access them directly, even to
read them. They have to use a view they have operational access to.

The QADB* cross-reference files are often restricted - I know I can't do
anything with them. The SYS* views are based on them, but those views have
authority given by IBM.

I'm going to look at Brad's tool - meanwhile, DSPFD is easy and clean
enough, for now, methinks.
