On the dhcp server you can reserve addresses by MAC address.

When for example the IBMi sends a DHCP request the DHCP server will use
the MAC address to search for a reservation and return the reserved
address.

While I have not done this for a server I do it regularly for my laptop so
I always have the same IP address for a number of reasons.

Cheers
Don

I don't see how you could set an IP outq without having a static IP
address.

Thanks

Subject: config IBM I and printers with DHCP?

Company acquired company with an IBM I system.

Their IT folks want to configure all IBM I printers to be DHCP.

Also, they want to set the IBM I system IP to DHCP.

Surely this is NOT possible.
