Hi Patrik,

I didn't find the website, where I have found the idea and technique to send the job completion messages to the status line of your session, so on Sunday I wrote a blog post about it - complete with source code:

You don't have to run a background program - you simply attach a break message receive program to your message queue, and that handles the incoming messages.

Please try it - I would be glad about any feedback.

HTH
Daniel

I have a small program since ages.

It allocates my MSGQ and sends compiler/job ending messages to the status line.

In the INLPGM I simply ignore messages that the MSGQ is already allcated.

Interesting. So this is a program running constantly in the background?

:wq! PoC
