Peter, I've moderated a Yahoo list for my church for a few years now and am very happy with it. It was easy to set up and requires next to no effort on my part. You can set it up by invitation only so that it is limited to only those who are associated with your congregation. I just looked through some archived messages; text email generally has no advertisements, just a little footer about abiding by the yahoo rules. HTML email does have small ads appended. If you make sure that you define your list within Yahoo's religious communities, you will find that the ads are generally inoffensive and of a religious nature. We've had no debt consolidation or anatomy enlargement whatsoever. It has worked well for me and we've had no need to purchase any services from Yahoo in order to run the list. We're not all that active but every message for the last few years is still archived on their web site. Regards, Andy Nolen-Parkhouse
