So Ken, what is the best way to learn something about Linux?

I've got an O'Reilly book: Learning Red Hat Linux which comes with RH 8. I
know,
that is down level a bit, but I'm staying with RH 8 till I'm done with the book.
I figure then I'll upgrade.

This book however is aimed at users and isn't very technical. I'd love to hear
what you think I should look at next.

Re our linux vs Windows discussion. Your mind is obviously made up and I
seriously doubt that anything I've got to say will change your mind. And me?
Well, I pretty much make my living from Windows and OS/400 machines. Say what
you will about Linux, it is not mainstream on the desktop. But, it IS getting
better! I can see that between RH 8 and the last time I peeked at RH a few
years
ago.
