Hi Chuck!

I have done both - I used an ati wonder card to capture the video and
the
software that came with the card. Just be sure of what format your target
device will accept for playback... You can use up quite a bit of storage -
10 minutes of high quality video took about 640 meg using mp2 format.

I have also converted my entire cd and album collection to mp3. I used
a
simple radio shack turntable - my old one was kaput - and bought
'AudioGrabber' on the internet to rip it. It does real well for cds but is
more labor intensive for lps. When you rip an lp, you have to type in the
names of the tracks and babysit it a bit...

Good Luck - it is worth the trouble...

Subject: [PCTECH] Question in Video & LP transfers to other media...

Hi Folks,

Any duping video tapes to CD. DVD or Windows Media Player/Real Player ? This
involves home videos not pirating "store-bought" video's.

And along those same lines, is anyone familiar with how folks are taking
LP's and turning them into MP3'S ? Again, this would be for turning all my
old LP's into MP3's for personal use.

Thanks !

Chuck
