John,

I'm new to IM but was told about the Trillian client by a coworker. I replaced
AIM on my daughters PC and hey, most of her PC problems went away too. It's
free and connects to multiple services.

I've been using MSN messenger lately for IM but more specifically video and
voice.

For a number of reasons I would rather not use MSN for "in house" business
chats. Has anyone any experience with low-cost software that can host this
kind of communication? Linux solution is OK as long as the clients can be
Windows based.
